Text Box: The Centre of excellence for IT/ITeS Assessment and Training (CEIAT) was formed on April 2005 at the Syndicate Hall of the University of Calcutta as an initiative of the Dept. of Information Technology, Govt. of India, the University of Calcutta the West Bengal Electronics Industry Development Corporation, (WEBEL) and Technable solutions Pvt. Ltd. The objective of CEIAT has been: to continuously help develop adequately skilled human resources in a sustained manner, by virtue of offering quality training at an affordable price, and thus help reinforce the efforts to brighten the investment climate and the industrialization drives in the state of West Bengal We are the missing link between the academia and the industry. We follow a model framework recommended by the HRD Task Force, Dept. of IT, Govt. of India, for skilled human resources development and deployment for the IT/ITeS and other Services Sector industries in India, such as, Retail, Banking, Finance, Insurance, Telecom, Hospitality, Healthcare, etc. The execution is done in partnership with the educational institutions from where the workforce is conventionally delivered to the industry for absorption.
